2005 Freightliner M2 Business Class single axle dump truck. This truck was originally purchased on 01/08/2005 and was used by our Water Quality Construction Division and was transferred to our Regional Waste Water Treatment Plant on 08/31/2016. It has been in use at the Treatment plant until earlier this month. This truck has 3,486 actual hours and 38,424 actual miles on it. It features a Jaco dump bed, model 4045M, Ser. # 631041925 that has a capacity of 8.6 cubic yards. It has a Caterpillar C-7 engine (non-DEF/regen), 250 HP, Ser. # KAL78072, Arr. # 241-1544 and Allison 3500RDS automatic transmission, Ser. # 6510536128 . The GVWR of this truck is 36,020 Lbs. (12,000 Front., 24,020 rear.). Also featured is a Donavan electric bed tarp, engine block heater, pintle hook on the rear for towing with a 6 pin round trailer connector, an air brake trailer valve in the dash (not plumbed to rear of the truck), AM/FM radio, air conditioning and cruise control.
EXTERIOR: The cab on this truck is in good condition with no major damage to any panels. The paint is faded and there are lots of what appear to be stone chips in the paint on the left side of the cab and on the left door. The front bumper paint is peeling off and the headlight capsules are fogged. The dump bed was exposed to caustic materials at the wastewater plant and as a result has rust inside and out (see photos). The bed bottom shows signs of pretty bad rust, there are some deep dents in the bottom of the bed (probably from a backhoe bucket tooth) but there are not any visible holes in the bed, however the bottom of the bed does sag in between the supports. All the glass is intact with no cracks or chips.
INTERIOR: Overall the interior is in good condition. The seat was just recovered with a tweed material. There are the normal amount of scuffs, scratches etc. on the interior and door panels. The a/c is cold and the radio works. The steering wheel has some wear on the cover and the cruise control res/acc-set/cst button is broken off.
MECHANICAL: The engine starts and runs without a battery boost and the transmission shifts normally. The bed operates as it should as does the tarp, however the tarp material is in |
