This unit has been in my shop and has never been in the rain. I planned on putting it on a new house, but my plans did not work out. Specs. The Generac Model 5254 is quality genset at a very attractive price point. When supplied with propane, it produces 16kW (16000W) of power (15kW on Natural Gas). It features high temperature automatic shutdown, low oil pressure automatic shutdown, overspeed automatic shutdown (Solid-state), crank limiter (Solid-state), battery trickle charger, weather protective enclosure (Locking Type) and a composite base. When coupled with a Generac RTSC100A1, a combo 100A Automatic Transfers/16 circuit panel, you can protect not only the essential circuits (furnace, sump pumps, septic pumps, well pumps, cistern pumps, refrigerators, freezers, essential lights) but also many of the other circuits in your home.
